Public officials, industry stakeholders, and local tourism representatives will congregate on May 23 at Rawhide Stadium’s Hall of Fame Club for the first ‘State of the Industry’ tourism event, hosted by the Sequoia Tourism Council.
The breakfast marks the first time in many years that Tulare County will welcome a representative from Visit California, the industry-led organization responsible for development and maintenance of marketing programs that keep California top-of-mind as a premier travel destination.
As Vice President of Marketing, Lynn Carpenter-Schumann will share tactics for engagement with Visit California, macro trends in tourism development, and the industry’s financial and economic impact in Tulare County. Sequoia National Forest Supervisor, Kevin Elliott, will also address attendees with a message regarding the importance of strong, strategic partnerships.
Additionally, the Council has selected recipients for the industry awards, and will reveal winners in each of the following categories: Promotion & Advancement of Tourism, Spirit of the Sequoias, and Tourism Partner of the Year. Nominated businesses/organizations include: Bari Olive Oil, Sierra Recreation, Seven Sycamores, Terra Bella Wine Trail, Porterville Fair, Bravo Farms, Eagle Mountain Casino and the Arts Consortium.
The Sequoia Tourism Council is a regional collaborative created by local governments, chambers of commerce and community organizations to provide the public with information that can enhance their visitor experience in Tulare County.
