As a local prevention service provider the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD) of Tulare County has partnered with the Visalia Police Department to host the State Department of Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) License Education on Alcohol and Drug Training (LEAD) on Monday August 19, 2013.
Retailers play an essential role in reducing teen access to alcoholic beverages. Responsible retailing practices are key to preventing illegal alcohol sales. Underage drinking is not inevitable, and when businesses establish policies and practices that are backed up by training and accountability, such sales can be eliminated. The LEAD Training presented accordance with Responsible Beverage Service Best Practices in order to promote public safety and to reduce risks associated with the retail alcohol environment.
Are your business policies up to date? Are your employees correctly trained to examine ID cards presented to them at the time of purchase? Is it your belief that the Decoy Operations are an entrapment? Has it been more than two years since you have completed Responsible Beverage Servers (RBS) Training? If you are unsure, we encourage your participation. Not only will you gain valuable information from the training, but your involvement as a responsible licensee can help bring far reaching benefits to your community.
Training registration deadline is Thursday, August 15 2013. The training will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 at the Professional Development Center, 4031 W. Noble Ave., Visalia, Ca 93277 from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
