Since opening his office doors back in Jan. 1, 2012, Ben Weldon’s State Farm has found a home in the charming town of Exeter. And it did not take him long to get comfortable and become a big part of the community as his company has sponsored numerous events.
Weldon’s name has been associated with events like the Exeter Lions Annual High School Baseball All-Star game that is played at Rawhide Stadium in Visalia. Another event that is sponsored by State Farm is the car show at the Exeter Fall Festival.
Weldon along with Cindy Gerdes ran this year’s car show and according to Ben it was a huge success. As of recently, Weldon sponsored the Exeter Lions New Year’s Eve celebration.
While his company does a lot for the community, he himself is also involved in many of the organizations throughout Exeter. He is currently on the chamber board of directors, a Lion’s Club board director, and community action committee for the Boys and Girls Club.
With all of Weldon’s community activities, it was easy to find him at his office, currently located at 151 South E St. in downtown Exeter. But as of Friday, Ben Weldon’s State Farm will be relocated to 217 E. Palm St.
“I’ve always wanted an older home for the look of my agency,” said Weldon of his companies move. “This is an opportunity that I couldn’t pass up.”
Ben feels his location on E St. has been a great location, but he feels at this time, it is time to move on. A big priority for him was to stay in the downtown area and with this new location on Palm he was able to manage that.
While his address is changing, you will not find a change in his staff’s customer service or Ben’s involvement with the community of Exeter.
