Entrepreneur”s light up over innovation

California Tech Innovation Center, an innovation and entrepreneurship center, is holding the grand opening of its new location on Wednesday, Aug 12 from 10 to 11 a.m. Occupying 9,600 square feet, California Tech Innovation Center is located at 608 E. Center Ave. in downtown Visalia.

The new space was designed with our area’s many talented entrepreneurs’ needs in mind. CTIC is certain its accessibility- and innovation-centered programs, events and benefits are going to attract even more startups and further foster and accelerate entrepreneurial success in our community.

The new California Tech Innovation Center offers:

-A space for startups, entrepreneurs, designers and developers to co-work and collaborate.

-Access to professional development, networking, educational, coaching and mentorship programs.

-24/7 access for users.

-Conference and meeting rooms.

-3-D printing in partnership with MakerBot Industries.

CTIC has become a reseller and educational and training center for 3-D printing in partnership with MakerBot Industries in the Central Valley. At the grand opening, CTIC will also provide information about getting certified training, rapid prototyping, summer camp, and training programs related with 3-D printing. No prior 3-D printing, design software, or 3-D design experience is required.

The company will soon offer training and courses in IT software in high demand areas, such as intro to computer science and programming, mobile app and dynamic web development, data science, analytics and big data, and business development courses in high tech sales and marketing, entrepreneurship for small businesses, product and project management, medical and dental assistant and record management. The courses will be offered on an as-needed basis with a focus on providing some of the candidates with internship and potential job opportunities with CTIC partner companies.

California Tech Innovation Center also offers opportunities for Affiliate Partners (companies with more than eight employees and their own office space that wish to use selected California Tech Innovation Center services) and Designer & Developer Partnerships for technical associates who want access to networking, services and other opportunities. CTIC has spent a lot of time identifying the needs and interests of our local technology entrepreneurs and feel we’ve developed services and programs that fit those needs. CTIC encourage local entrepreneurs to contact us for a visit and more information. CTIC has already launched an entrepreneurial competition for the best new product idea/prototype. The winner will receive $1,000 towards investing in their own company with the opportunity to be accepted into CTIC’s incubator program, which would include all necessary capital investment to bring their product to commercialization.
