Visalia’s CalCom Solar named one of America’s fastest-growing private companies, again

VISALIA – Inc. magazine named CalCom Solar to its prestigious list of the fastest-growing private companies in the country, the Inc. 5000. For the second year in a row, CalCom reached the top tier of the list, ranking No. 23 in 2017, with a staggering three-year growth rate of 9,000 percent.

CalCom joins other notable Inc. 5000 alumni such as Microsoft, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, Pandora, Timberland, LinkedIn, Yelp, Zillow and many other well-known names who gained their first national exposure as honorees.

“Achieving this honor for the second year running demonstrates that sustainability and business can go hand-in-hand in a progressively brighter future,” said Dylan Dupre, CEO of CalCom Solar. “We take a very strategic approach to developing some of the largest solar farms in the agricultural and water management industries. We are proud to have saved our customers millions of dollars while helping them operate more sustainably.”

CalCom also ranked No. 3 in the Energy segment of the Inc. 500, a subset of the Inc. 5000 list. The company’s growth rate outpaces the 481 percent average growth rate of companies on the 2017 Inc. 5000.

CalCom Solar employs 58 full-time employees, who installed 28.3 Megawatts of solar in 2016. Since its founding in 2013, CalCom has installed over 50 Megawatts of solar, or enough to power more than 20,000 homes for a year.

Just last month, CalCom was named one of the top California solar contractors by Solar Power World magazine. CalCom Solar achieved a ranking of 20th for California based solar companies. The Top Solar Contractors list is developed by Solar Power World to recognize the work completed by solar contractors across the United States. Produced annually, the Top Solar Contractors list celebrates the achievements of U.S. solar developers, subcontractors and installers within the utility, commercial and residential markets. The list was released on July 25.

“The 2017 Top Solar Contractors list features 500 of the best solar contractors in the United States,” said Kelly Pickerel, managing editor of Solar Power World. “From solar hotbeds on the coasts to the up-and-coming Midwest solar market, every installer adding even the smallest solar array to the grid is making a positive impact on our communities. We’re proud to recognize these companies and their efforts to bring solar power to U.S. homes and businesses.”

Based in Visalia, CalCom Solar is a solar project development and energy services company focused exclusively on agriculture and water customers. We design, engineer, and install solar systems that offset the high electrical demands of agricultural production while helping customers to reduce operational expenses, improve their bottom line, and farm more sustainably. We are responsible for developing some of the largest Ag solar installations in California.

CalCom wasn’t the only Visalia based company to make the list. Pro-PT, a physical therapy business, made the list for a fourth straight year. Pro-PT ranked No. 3,015 on the list of 5,000 for 2017. Last year’s revenue was $8 million, and the current growth rate is 110 percent.

Pro-PT has nine clinics in Tulare and Kings Counties including Exeter, Lindsay, Dinuba, Porterville, Tulare and Visalia. Pro-PT Physical Therapy is a physical therapist-owned and operated private practice. The company was founded by Ronald Eynaud, DPT, OCS, MDT Cert., NATA Certified Athletic Trainer and Todd Martin, DPT, in 2001.

“The Inc. 5000 is the most persuasive evidence I know that the American Dream is still alive,” says Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg. “The founders and CEOs of the Inc. 5000 tell us they think determination, risk taking, and vision were the keys to their success, and I believe them.”
