Peddlers Market hopes to bring foot traffic to ‘C’ Street in Exeter

EXETER – Downtown Exeter has good foot traffic for local businesses, but only if you are located on Pine or E streets. Small town shoppers are also creatures of habit as they expect businesses to remain in the same location much longer than in a larger city.

Lynne Tankersley’s Blues House of Vintage is the perfect example of a great business that is just a few steps off Pine Street and still educating shoppers that her store, located at 134 S. C St., is no longer a hair salon.

That’s why Blues will host a Fall Peddler’s Market on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Similar to the Open Air Peddler’s Market held in the spring, Tankersley said as many as 20 vendors will be selling antiques, refurbished furniture, handmade goods, Scentsy, Tupperware and more along C Street between Pine and Maple streets.
