COS Training Resource Center will hold introductory and intermediate QuickBooks classes beginning in July
TULARE – Nearly half of all small businesses in California are challenged by a need for training in QuickBooks, the best-selling accounting software for small businesses.
College of the Sequoias is responding that need by offering two QuickBooks trainings starting in July through its Training Resource Center. QuickBooks Level I will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays, July 19 through Aug. 2 from 9 a.m. to noon. QuickBooks Level II will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays, Aug. 9 to 23 from 9 a.m. to noon. These classes will take place in a computer lab on the COS Visalia Campus.
This hands-on class will demonstrate how to use the most popular accounting software program in real time as you follow along with the instructor. This course will cover essential training in areas such as forms, receiving payments, working with customer transactions, paying and recording bills, managing vendors, making deposits, fixing errors, tracking inventory, creating purchase orders, working with refunds, working with current assets and fixed assets, budgeting in QuickBooks, payroll in QuickBooks, job costing, time tracking, customizing reports and graphs and more. The cost of each course is $375. However, if your company is eligible for Employment Training Panel (ETP) funding then the cost is only $29! When you take this class, you will be purchasing the book which comes with a 140-day license to QuickBooks 2021. ETP provides funding to employers to assist in upgrading the skills of their workers through training that leads to good paying, long-term jobs. The ETP was created in 1982 by the California State Legislature and is funded by California employers through a special payroll tax.
