strathmore – Police are looking for a man who robbed a Strathmore convenience store at gunpoint earlier this month.
Just after 9 p.m. on April 2, Tulare County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the Strathmore Handy Mart, located at 23013 Avenue 196 in Strathmore, for a report of an armed robbery.
The store clerk reported that an unknown male suspect entered the store and pointed a black semi-automatic pistol at him and demanded money. The clerk gave the man an undetermined amount of money and then fled east on Avenue 196.
The clerk described the man as a Hispanic male, between 25 and 26 years old, standing between 5’8 to 5’9, weighing approximately 250 pounds and with black hair.
The suspect was last seen wearing a black or blue bandana covering his face, white T-shirt, black and white checkered zip-up jacket with a white “sheep’s wool type” liner on the inside of the jacket, black jeans, and wearing dark gloves.
This case is currently under investigation by the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.
