The campaign to educate students on the value of a nutritional diet and what foods are nutritious continues as resource specialists from the Nutrition Network visit sites in the Lindsay Unified School District.

In Marjean Beamer's biology class at Lindsay High School students were given an "edible cell" lesson to reinforce the concepts of cell structures and functions. Resource specialist Amanda Watkins had the students create a cell model using jello, grapes, peanuts and other healthy foods to symbolize parts of a cell.
