The Central California Classic Truck Association presented Healthy Start with $1,000 worth of Wal-mart gift cards to go towards clothing and shoes for children and families in Lindsay.

CCCTA President Bill Murdock, Vice President Tino Martinez and Secretary Josie Martinez met with Healthy Start Director Janie Elson on Dec. 18 for the presentation of the gift.

"We try to give to organizations that really have a need," Murdock said.

The CCCTA holds a car show every October in Fresno to raise money for the charitable donations. This past October the show generated $4,000. The money was divided between Madera, Fresno and Tulare county organizations.
