Prop 55 remains on ballot; schools still in need of repair

On Dec. 12 the state legislature finally approved a deficit reduction plan for California's unsteady economy. The long awaited decision means that Proposition 55, a bond measure that would provide $12.3 billion for construction and renovation for kindergarten through university facilities, will remain on the March 2004 ballot.

Previously approved renovation projects were in progress during the districts three week break. LHS received its new marquee the week before winter break. The electric sign gives the date and time of upcoming events and welcomes students staff and parents to campus.
