In November the Teen Zone was burglarized and lost two X-box game systems, along with the controllers and video games. But thanks to the generosity of one of Lindsay Unified School District's Administrators the youths at the Teen Zone didn't spend too much time without the expensive item.

Interim Principal at JJ Cairns Continuation High school David Reisinger donated an X-box, controllers and all, to the Teen Zone during the Christmas holiday.

"He read that we lost some of the funding that we usually get and knew we were going to fall short," Teen Zone Director Rich Rodriguez said. "He also knew that a lot of his students come to the Teen Zone so he replaced the stolen X-box."

Rodriguez said the Teen Zone would periodically receive funding from the County Supervisors office. But he is unsure if that support will continue after the next election.

As long as community members continue to make contributions, like that of Reisinger's, students can still enjoy their time spent at the Teen Zone.
