EUSD Board looks to staff development

By Nancy Gutierrez

The Exeter Union School District board members were given a presentation on a service agreement with Alice Greiner and Associates. Greiner will present a two-day "Step Up to Writing" training on Aug. 4-5 to 58 EUSD teachers. The agreement will have a fiscal impact of $10,500 to be taken from categorical funds and Title 1 achieving schools grant.

Deputy Superintendent Diane Graziani said the two-day presentation will create a common approach among teachers in writing. The actual training will cost $3,400. Another $1,500 will be used for the group to travel to and from Colorado and $5,600 is needed for materials. The board will decide on the matter at the next board meeting.
