The Woodlake Union High School District met on Wednesday, March 2.

There was discussion on next year's 2005-2006 school calendar. Three tentative calendars have been reviewed by WETA Woodlake Elementary Teachers Association, (WUHSTA) Woodlake Union High School Teachers and CSEA (California School Employees Association) representatives. The calendar will be on the April agenda meeting for action.

The WUHS board reviewed and certified the Second Interim Report. The governing board has the responsibility to approve the interim report and make certification to the county office of education. The certification will indicate the ability of the district to meeting its financial obligation for the remainder of current fiscal year and two subsequent school years.

The board of trustees also approved a series of a new/revised board policies as recommended by the California School Board Association.

A program call Edusoft was discussed at length by the school board. Edusoft is a web based assessment platform. They help school districts administrators, teachers and parents track student performance on state standards through three kinds of tests: state exams, district benchmarks, and in class teacher tests. Their testing and reporting solution gives districts the information they need to help improve instruction and student performance.
