Strathmore seniors get priority registration


porterville – Strathmore High School students will receive priority registration at a local community college today.

Today, April 13, seniors at Strathmore High School and Harmony Magnet Academy in Strathmore will be given the opportunity for on-site priority registration for the summer and fall semesters at Porterville College during one of two PC Connection events. This is the second year the event has been held by Porterville College. It will take place from 5-8 p.m. in the PC Academic Center Building and also includes Porterville High School, Burton Horizon Academy and Prospect Education Center.

PC Connection will continue tomorrow, April 14, for Monache High School, Granite Hills High School, Citrus High School, Summit Charter Collegiate and Butterfield Charter High School in Porterville. The second day’s event will also be held from 5-8 p.m. in the PC Academic Center Building.

High school seniors from outside of the college’s service area, who have completed the PC assessment and orientation, are also invited to attend either night. Priority registration will be given to the first 150 students who RSVP for ed high school night of attendance. RSVP by calling (559) 791-2446.

This is being offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. In order to see a counselor seniors must have completed assessment and orientation prior to the event.
