Lindsay Kiwanis Club honors TERRIFIC kids for January

Lindsay Kiwanis recognizes learners in Lindsay Unified for exemplary character

LINDSAY – Kiwanis is a group of volunteers with the mission of empowering our community to improve the world by making a lasting difference in the lives of children. Lindsay Kiwanis Club recognizes Lindsay Unified School District learners who are

Gavino Hernandez
Reagan Elem. 4th grader

Thoughtful-enthusiastic-respectful-responsible-inclusive-friendly-inquisitive-capable (TERRIFIC) and who serve their community (school and/or Lindsay).

This month, Lindsay Kiwanis Club congratulates and recognizes two learners from Reagan Elementary Learning Community.

Gavino Hernandez, grade 4, earned this TERRIFIC award because he never misses a zoom meeting, and he is always ready to learn. Gavino has also done the most asynchronous work out of all my learners. He is called our “Clever King,” for a reason. He will pass 5 or more lessons per week. I can always count on Gavino to finish all of his assignments.

Allyson Moreno
Reagan Elem. 8th grader

Allyson Moreno, grade 8, was honored for being inquisitive and capable. Although we are in distance learning Ms. Allyson’s growth continues to skyrocket. She is an inquisitive and capable learner because she continues to progress through her targets ahead of pace. She pushes herself to research and learns things that are related to our district standards.
