Kiwanis Club honors TERRIFIC kids for December

Lindsay Kiwanis recognizelearners in Lindsay Unified for exemplary character

LINDSAY – Kiwanis is a group of volunteers with the mission of empowering community to improve the world by making a lasting difference in the lives of children.

The Lindsay Club recognizes Lindsay Unified School District learners who are Thoughtful Enthusiastic Respectful Responsible Inclusive Friendly Inquisitive Capable (TERRIFIC) and who serve their community (school and/or Lindsay). For the month of December, the Kiwanis Club congratulates and recognizes two learners from Kennedy Elementary School.

Isabelle Centeno is an eighth-grade learner at Kennedy School who demonstrates the core value of integrity. She consistently strives for excellence and is extremely helpful to learners and staff when help is needed. Isabelle is very respectful and also is highly regarded as a leader and highly respected by her peers and the staff at Kennedy learning community.

Julian Garcia Salas, a fifth-grade learner at Kennedy School, consistently models the core values of courage and risk-taking. He goes above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to helping others. He is friendly and loves to learn. He demonstrates kindness and caring and has a huge heart for service. Both students were recognized by the Lindsay Unified School District board of trustees at its Dec. 13 meeting.
