New doctors graduate from Adventist Health residency

Adventist Health Central California Network Residency celebrates its 2024 graduating class, 12 doctors graduate in the Hanford and Tulare Family Medicine programs

VISALIA – The Visalia Convention Center will soon host an important milestone for the 2024 class of medical graduates, celebrating their achievements and future contributions to healthcare in the region.

The graduation ceremony for the 2024 class is being held on June 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 303 E. Acequia Ave. Fifty percent of these doctors will continue their careers with Adventist Health Central California Network clinics and hospitals in some capacity.

The graduate medical education program comprises four programs: Hanford Family Medicine, Tulare Family Medicine, Tulare Internal Medicine and Sonora Family Medicine. Together, they allow Adventist Health to provide more compassionate care to its patients throughout the region.

For Hanford Family Medicine the graduating class is made up of Harkomal Kaur, MD; Tahmores Matin, MD; Linha Mazin Mohammed, MD; Youstina Morkos, MD; Umer Rashid, MD; and Khaing Khaing Win, MD. For Tulare Family Medicine, the graduates include John Asenjo, DO; Joel Asunto, MD; Shiveta Cherwoo, MD; Joseph Maddela, MD; Melody Nameni, DO; and Christopher Terzian, MD.
