Beer takes center stage at Lindsay Brewfest

Beer drinkers know that Oktoberfest doesn’t actually happen in October, it happens in September.

And with only one weekend left in the month, it’s good to know the Lindsay Community Theater is offering its 7th annual Brewfest.

The beer tasting event will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29 at Sweet Brier Plaza in downtown Lindsay.

More than 40 different beers from pilsners to stouts will be on tap, including several from microbrewers Brewbakers in Visalia and Firestone in Paso Robles and two beers from the Orange Bar in town. There will also be sampling of craft beers from the Tulare County Home Brewers Association.

Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at door. Tickets are available in Lindsay at Virginia’s Hair Studio, McDermont Field House, Tony’s Pizza, The Orange Bar, Fat Boyz Restaurant, and in Visalia at Brewbakers. Food and entertainment free for participants.

Designated drivers admitted for free to enjoy the food and entertainment.

Proceeds from the event will help the Lindsay Community Theater plans to renovte the front of the theater including new tile and display windows.
