Just four months after changing formats on its AM station, Visalia-based Momentum Broadcasting made changes in both its FM signals.
Last month, Momentum boosted the signal of its flagship station 106.7 FM KJUG which now claims to reach from Madera to Bakersfield. By strengthening the signal, KJUG hopes to increase listeners for its country music lineup which includes Mike and Lisa In The Morning, Rosie Ortega, Adam Jeffries and Thru The Night with Chad.
The newest change for Momentum Broadcasting is to 104.9 KCRZ. “The Z” will now be playing Top 40 music instead of contemporary hits.
“It is fun music we play,” said Randy Hendrix Program Director for the Z 104.9. “With the new switch over we will still be family friendly.”
KCRZ may not have the signal strength of KJUG but 104.9 can be heard in Fresno. The Z will be focusing on the South Valley.
In December, Momentum switched its 1270 AM station from classic country music to Living Water Radio, airing faith-based programming and inspiring Christian Country Music. The format offers 25 and 55 minute programs from local pastors and live call-in shows from national syndicated Christian radio hosts. The station’s lineup is anchored by Stephen Arterburn. His interactive talk radio program New Life Live! has been nationally syndicated since 1985 and is heard on more than 180 radio stations nationwide. Arterburn is also founder and chairman of New Life Ministries – the nation’s largest faith-based broadcast, counseling and treatment ministry and founder of Women of Faith, national conferences attended by more than 3 million women. He also happens to be a Californian, residing in Laguna Beach.
With the new increase of signal power and programming changes, Momentum Broadcasting says it has increased listeners by an astonishing 239%, with its audience increasing by 1 million listeners.
