Ommen’s latest book reveals county’s wild past


visalia – It’s hard to believe Tulare County was once filled with bandits instead of farmland and orange trees. Historian Terry Ommen’s book “Visalia: Images of Visalia and Wild Tulare County” is sure to remind you of the county’s colorful past.

Ommen has studied Visalia’s history for over 30 years. His research has resulted in a mass collection of photographs which depict the history of Visalia and new research is now available to the public in his new book.
