Author Ronn Couillard discuss his new book, Murder in Visalia, at the Tulare County Museum

VISALIA – The Tulare County Museum is holding a book talk on Friday, Nov. 3, with guest Ronn Couillard about his new book, Murder In Visalia, published in September.

On one October morning in 1979, a stamp and coin dealer was gunned down in his Visalia shop. Unfortunately, there were no witnesses. Two months earlier, the body of a Fresno coin dealer was found locked in the trunk of his car.

After persistent and combined police effort across jurisdictional lines a connection was made between the two deaths. The trail of evidence left behind led the a most unlikely suspect.

Author Couillard is a retired judge and former Visalia district attorney. In his new book he lays out the facts in this compelling case beginning from the investigation all the way to the conviction.

There will be a presentation and a question and answer session will follow. Copies of his book will be available for purchase and Couillard will be available to autograph. Light refreshments will be served and the museum’s new exhibit, outlaws of Tulare County, will be open to the public.
