Visalia Chamber offers discounts for fall tours to Costa Rica, southeastern U.S. if booked by May 27


VISALIA – Looking for a trip to fall in love with this fall? The Visalia Chamber of Commerce is offering two exciting excursions this November and December. Explore lush forests and stunning waterfalls… exotic wildlife and endless coastlines of Costa Rica or experience warm holiday hospitality in America’s southeast.

“Tropical Costa Rica” includes a $100 discount with reservations made before May 27, 2019. The tour will depart Nov. 9 and return on Nov. 17, 2019. The cost of the tour begins at $$2,699 per person (double occupancy). The second trip is “Southern Charm Holiday”. The tour will depart on Dec. 8 and return on Dec. 13, 2019. The cost of the tour begins at $2,599 per person (double occupancy). The $100 discount is available for tours booked before June 7, 2019. Both tours include roundtrip airfare from Fresno, roundtrip transportation to the Fresno Airport, and all hotel accommodation.

The Tropical Costa Rica tour opens in the capital city of San Jose the perfect place to relax and soak up the sights as your adventure begins. While in San Jose you will visit a local coffee plantation, then settle in for a 2 night stay in your resort at Guanacaste with spectacular sunset views and beaches. The tour will explore the Monteverde Cloud Forest and enjoy a breathtaking nature walk. While in Monteverde travelers will explore the world’s largest butterfly garden, and enjoy a walking tour of the Hanging Bridges or experience a zip line on one of the longest canopy zip line tours in Costa Rica. Finally the tour will travel to Zarcero and then continue back to San Jose.

The tour will begin in Charleston known as the “Holy City” which survived the Civil War, major fires and more. This city exudes charm and grace. A local guide will show you the many historic homes and restored buildings with delightful 18th century Christmas decorations for the holiday season. The tour will include a stop at Fort Sumter and the City Market one of the oldest public markets in the country. You can also explore Boone Hall Plantation or Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum as well as James Island Country Park. The tour will then travel to Jekyll Island Georgia to see the grand “cottages” in the midst of the fabled Golden Isles. Enjoy a tour of the Jekyll Island Historic Landmark District then travel north along the unspoiled Georgia Coast to Savannah, home to the largest National Historic Landmark District in the United States. While in Savannah the you will enjoy a holiday themed trolley tour of the historic district, with moss draped oaks and stately mansions. Travelers will get to explore the Andrew Low House and Gardens as well as Factors Walk and River Street where old cotton warehouses house trendy shops, taverns and restaurants.
