VISALIA – The South Valley’s largest home show returns to Visalia next weekend.
The 27th annual Visalia Home & Patio Springfest will be held Feb. 7-9 at the Visalia Convention Center. The event is a celebration of “Outdoor California Living” and will offer expertise, discounts and deals on all of your exterior home needs. Informally known as the Visalia home show, the event will exhibit new features, handy products, expert services, D-I-Y workshops, kids activities, and great food. Organizers say the annual show offers homeowners with inspirational ideas, the ability to compare quotes, and “test drive” innovative products that will enhance their indoor and outdoor lifestyle.
Gowin Green Landscaping and Luis Nursery have teamed up to design affordable backyard landscapes and Backyard and Home Construction debuts with patio covers, barbecues, sunrooms, spas, and windows.
In a new show area, the Garden Center will host local floral societies and garden clubs, such as the California Native Plant Society and the Sequoia Garden Club. Visitors can attend hourly informative seminars by the Tulare-Kings Master Gardeners or make a purchase from the Visalia Succulent Club.
Are you a do-it-yourselfer? Then let Habitat Restore, Rusti’k Works, and The Fabled Farmhouse show you how with little effort and money you can redecorate with style in the show’s Home Remodeling section.
Looking to build an outdoor patio? Exhibitors will show off their latest products including grills, retractable screens, pools and water features, iron fencing, and more.
Have questions about another home improvement product, experts from Home Depot will be there to talk you through it or you can hire it out with one of the many companies at the show providing painting, window treatments, roofing fixes, etc.
In the new Kids Area, children can to take photo with Otis the Imagination Dragon, enter to win a BABW Valentine Bear, or participate in the HD Kids Clinic.
The event is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Tickets are $8 for general admission, $6 for seniors and military and free for children 12 years old and younger.
