VISALIA – Looking to get a head start on your summer plans and save a little money? A great deal, steal and set of wheels are included in a limited time promotion through Visit Visalia.

Through its Free Shuttle & Stay promotion, the Visalia tourism collaborative is offering visitors that book a two-night stay at a Visalia hotel this summer two free passes for the Sequoia Shuttle, which includes free entry into Sequoia National Park.

“We are excited to offer visitors the chance to explore one of the nation’s most celebrated parks for free this summer,” said Nellie Freeborn, executive director of Visit Visalia. “This promotion gives guests the opportunity to adventure during the day and relax in comfortable hotel accommodations in the evening.”

Sequoia Shuttle allows guests to relax and enjoy the journey into the Giant Forest. In addition to bypassing the entry gates, they can witness the stunning scenery, look for wildlife and spot waterfalls flowing down, all while relaxing in an air-conditioned shuttle with their family. Sequoia Shuttle pick-up locations are at most Visalia hotels or within a short walking distance. Once in the park, travelers use the ticketless in-park shuttles to see all the main attractions. It travels four loops within the park, offering hop-on, hop-off service.

Situated in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Sequoia National Park is a majestic and exquisitely maintained wonderland for hiking, fishing and outdoor adventure. It is home to the largest living tree in the world, the General Sherman Tree. Standing at 275 feet tall, about 102 feet in diameter and weighing more than 2.7 million pounds, it is also the largest living organism, by volume, on the planet. The park also boasts amazing waterfalls and spectacular views from famous spots like Moro Rock.
