Exeter Woman’s Club postpones Spring Home Tour until next year after Gov.’s shelter in place mandate
EXETER – You’d be hard pressed to find a speck of dust in the houses on this year’s Home Tour in Exeter, but it’s what you can’t see on the countertops and people’s hands that forced the event’s postponement.
The Exeter Woman’s Cub announced last week that it was postponing its Spring Home Tour to next year as strangers congregating in someone else’s home is hardly a recipe for sheltering in place, the new normal this spring in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. The good news is that the Woman’s Club was able to rebook all of its homes for next year’s event.
The Home Tour was originally scheduled for last Saturday, March 21. The tour was set to feature the ranch home of Linda Gill up Rocky Hill, the craftsman home of Gene and Carol Nickel on North Gill Road and Lauren Longcrier’s historical home turned Airbnb on South B Street.
