Exeter, A Festival of Arts foundation continues to plan their annual fundraiser for May 3 despite recent calamity of COVID-19
EXETER – Shelter in place orders have left few people enjoying the turn of winter to spring. And while nobody knows when everyone will get the “all clear” to rejoin society, the Exeter, A Festival of Arts foundation is holding out hope that their only fundraiser does not get the axe.
Mural team presidents, Gary Mussen stated their 19th Annual Garden Party set for May 3 at Mixter Park is an elegant dining on the street event.
“This is the only fundraiser we have to support new and continuing maintenance on the 31 murals we currently have,” Musson said. “We’re presently working on applying a sealant to several murals to help bring some color back as well as preserve them from the elements. That is our current focus before adding any additional murals or Bronze statue pieces in town.”
Individual tickets will be $50 and will be available at the Exeter Chamber of Commerce. Table Sponsorships are also available and the prices are set at $1,000, $750, and $600. This reserves a table for eight and also provides wine, drink tickets, recognition during the event and in the program and certificates to be used in the mural store at any time after the event. Sponsors have been a great benefit to the success of the event and we appreciate their support. The event includes dinner, music, a live and silent auction along with the no host bar. Anyone wishing to help by donating an item for either the live or silent auction can take the item to the office of Tricia Kirksey Real Estate anytime during business hours prior to the event or call Gary Mussen. Contributions are tax deductible and greatly appreciated.
