‘Man in Black’ back in Lindsay

James Garner’s tribute to Johnny Cash returns to the Lindsay Community Theater on Nov. 20

LINDSAY – A classy and authentic production is coming to Lindsay Community Theater Nov. 20, celebrating the life and music of the legendary ‘Man in Black” with hits like Big River, Ring of Fire, and The Highwayman.

Hanford native James Garner and his band perform Johnny Cash’s music, incorporating historical accounts and personal anecdotes about this beloved singing storyteller. The show is a fun, toe-tapping trip down memory lane honoring Cash’s life and the boom-chicka-boom sound of his longtime background band, The Tennessee Three.

In 2007 Garner began touring with his tribute show, which now has more than 500 professional concerts to its credit. In 2008, Garner’s show made a memorable trip to Folsom State Prison to commemorate the 40th-anniversary of Cash’s infamous live album, followed by a performance at San Quentin State Prison in 2010.

Garner’s Johnny Cash Tribute show takes the stage in Lindsay on Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Lindsay Community Theater at 190 N. Elmwood Ave. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and is sure to be a sell-out. Tickets are available now at www.lindsaycommunitytheater.com. Due to COVID-19, masks are required throughout the theater. Balcony access will require proof of vaccination card for any alcohol beverage purchase.
