Authorities at Children's Hospital of Central California in Madera said Bryce Glasgow, 6, of Exeter is in good condition after being hit by two cars Wednesday Oct. 22.
Bryce was riding a bicycle down a private drive toward Walnut Avenue or Avenue 288 on his way to a bus stop. He pulled out onto the road directly in front of westbound traffic and was hit by a car in the westbound lane and thrown into oncoming traffic in the eastbound lane. He was then hit by another vehicle. The drivers of both vehicles swerved to miss the boy but could not avoid the accident.
Bryce incurred a laceration to his chin, multiple abrasions and contusions and a broken left leg. He was immediately taken to Kaweah Delta Hospital and later transferred to Children's Hospital where he will remain for an undisclosed amount of time.
No arrests were made at the time of the accident.
Glasgow is a resident of Exeter but attends Mineral King Elementary School in Visalia. The driver of the first car is also a resident of Exeter. The driver of the second car resides in Farmersville.
