The Strathmore Town and Country Club Annual Fall Fashion Show played to a full house at the Strathmore Memorial Building on Saturday, Nov. 1.

Women came from Strathmore, Lindsay, Springville and as far away as Santa Maria to enjoy the huge salad-bar luncheon and view a great line of fall fashions from the Fashion Network and Lady Rose in Porterville.

Brent Gill again served as the colorful commentator, as he had for last year's show. Jill Briones, Kathy Chavez and Monica Little modeled for the Fashion Network while Joan Pharis, Jean Edwards, Inge Hueuer and Nancy Baird modeled for Lady Rose. Fashion show coordinator was Theresa Blua who also serves as STCC vice president.

Delightful table decorations were done by Wanda Douglas and Imogene Little who also donated a hand-made Afghan as the door prize.

The luncheon committee, chaired by Barbara Johnston, made sure nobody went away hungry. Serving on the committee were Pat Bray, Merlene Davis, Marilee Iles, Anne Inter, Nancy Swenson and Jackie Williams.

Co-president Joy Shannon reminded everyone that funds raised by the fashion show go for Strathmore student scholarships. She said the club will also be sending money to help fire victims down south. She gave much credit to co-chair Iva Milam for all her work on the event. Milam just celebrated her 65th wedding anniversary and had a granddaughter great-granddaughter at this event, possibly an early induction for another generation of STCC members in the oldest women's club in Tulare County.
