Wood smoke wafted through the gray, drizzling Saturday morning that legitimately passes for autumn in the foothills as 50 young hunters paused to say the Pledge of Allegiance. The youths, up to age 15, were about to set out on the Southern Tulare County Sportsman Association's 19th Annual Junior Pheasant Hunt.
