Exeter Boys & Girls Club board member Bill Sario left a stern and urgent message for board President Randy Cox and Executive Director Joe Engelbrecht to "come to my office immediately" on a late November morning. In light of events at the club during the last year, the two thought more bad news was to come.
Instead they were welcomed by some of the best new the club has received in years - a check for $100,000 with no strings attached.
The money was donated by the Boswell Foundation, the charitable arm of the J.G. Boswell Company, the multi-million dollar cotton mill and cattle ranch agri-business based in Corcoran.
