Chamber announces Man, Woman of Year, and Heritage Awards

The Exeter Chamber of Commerce announced its annual awards for 2003 last week.

Leon Ooley was named Man of the Year, Mary Kay Cox was Woman of the Year and Heritage Award honorees were Paul Verissimo and the late Georgia Coday.

All will be recognized at the chamber's 81st annual Awards Banquet on Feb. 28 at the Exeter Veterans Memorial Building. Social hour will begin at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m.

Two additional awards will be announced at the event - the Beautification Award and Business of the Year. These awards are not nominated but chosen by an internal board of chamber members.

Tickets for the event are $25. Table sponsorships are available for $200. A table sponsorship reserves eight seats and gives mention to the sponsor in the event program. Deadline for being included in the program is today, Feb. 18.
