The Lindsay Kiwanis Club celebrated Mardi Gras with a Masquerade Dance and Silent Auction on Saturday, March 10 at the Lindsay Memorial Building.

The event was the Club's first big fundraiser this year with tickets selling for $100 a couple.

Dinner was catered by Bob's Drive-in and featured a buffet style meal with salad, shrimp, rice, potatoes, beans, tri-tip, chicken tenders and more. &#8220Everyone had a really good time,” Kiwanis member Cheryl Cook said. &#8220The food was fabulous and people came with masks.” Mike Jansma of Visalia and State Farm Insurance of Lindsay won the $500 door prize. D.J. Steve Garsa of Visalia provided the music for the dance following dinner.

The Kiwanians plan to host another large dinner and dance event next spring with either a Mardi Gras or Sweethearts theme.
