Tuesday, Sept. 11

At 11:11 a.m. in the 300 block of S Kaweah in regards to a theft from a motel. The victim stated that two females had checked in the night before and upon departure on this day, they took a EOC brand 32 inch flat screen television from the wall of their room. The victim reported the loss at approximately $450. The two female suspects were seen leaving the location, one driving a black Mercedes with tented windows, the other in a black colored Honda Civic. No license plate numbers were obtained.

Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of S. C St. in regards to a possible child molestation. After completing the investigation, officers contacted and arrested 33-year-old Israel Nunez-Flores. Nunez is being held on charges of sex with a minor under 14, incest, lewd or lascivious acts with a minor, sexual intercourse with a child with a 10-year age difference, continuous sexual abuse of a child, rape by penetration using foreign objects. Nunez was booked into Main Jail without incident.

Thursday, Sept. 13

At 1 p.m., officers were dispatched to Exeter High School for a report of a minor in possession of marijuana. Upon arrival, officers determined a male juvenile was in possession of less the 6 grams of marijuana while on school campus. The minor was arrested and released into the custody of a parent.

Saturday, Sept. 15

At 11:50 a.m. in the 100 block of E. Pine St., a local female juvenile was arrested after she had taken merchandise from a clothing store without paying. The juvenile was booked for the charge of receiving stolen property and later released to a parent.

Sunday, Sept. 16

At 11:50 a.m. in the 600 Block of N. Quince Ave., offers responed to a burglary. The residents stated sometime during the early morning hours, someone gained entry into their unlocked garage and stole work equipment and a bike.

Thursday, Sept. 20

Officers responded to a prowler in the 200 block of S. G St. Officers arrested Shannon Irvin on charges of possession of narcotics, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, possession of a dirk/dagger, and for being under the influence of a controlled substance. Irvin was booked into the Main Jail.

Officers responded to the 400 block of S. D St. in regards harassing phone calls.

Sunday, Sept. 23

Officers responded to the 200 block of N. C St. regarding vandalism. A utility trailer that was parked on the roadway had been marked with graffiti.

Monday, Sept. 24

At 3:27 a.m., officers arrested Jaime Zurita, 41, of Exeter, on charges of spousal abuse. She was booked into the Main Jail. The victim in this incident was granted an emergency restraining order against Zurita.

Officers responded to a burglary in the 1400 block of Mary Court. The victim estimated the loss at approximately $1,100.

Wednesday, Sept. 12

At 10:38 a.m., while on general patrol, an officer was advised by communications that a wanted male juvenile was currently at JJ. Cairns with school staff. Police responded to the school and contacted the juvenile who was later arrested for violation of probation. The male juvenile was transported to the police department where he was processed accordingly and later lodged into the Visalia Juvenile Hall Detention Facility.

At 1:05 a.m., an officer observed multiple subjects and two vehicles parked in front of a vacant lot in the 300 block of N. Cambridge. During a contact of the subjects, police located and arrested a missing juvenile from a previous call. The juvenile was arrested, transported to the police department for processing and was later lodged at the Juvenile Justice Facility following a medical clearance due to his alcohol consumption.

Friday, Sept. 14

At 9:01 a.m., in the 1000 block of N. Mountain View, officers responded for a report of a stolen vehicle locate. Upon arrival, police contacted the victim advised that her vehicle was returned to her residence by her granddaughter Kristine Chriscoe, just prior to officers arrival. Officers located Chriscoe in the back yard of the residence, who admitted to taking the vehicle without permission and admitted to using methamphetamine. Officers arrested Chriscoe and transported her to the Lindsay Police Department for processing. She was later cited and released on a signed promise to appear.

At 11:53 p.m., Lindsay units responded to the area of Hermosa and Gale Hill regarding a female screaming for help and appeared to be in a physical disturbance with a male. The reporting person advised that the female was in an apartment located in the 300 block N. Gale Hill. Upon arrival, officers heard a female yelling for help and crying. Juan Valenzuela Jr., was also heard yelling obscenities at the female and was heard throwing objects inside the residence. Officers identified themselves and attempted to make contact with both the female and Valenzuela to check their welfare but Valenzuela refused to open the door. Officers forced entry into the residence and detained Valenzuela who was found to have one felony warrant and two misdemeanor warrants issued for his arrest. It was later determined that Valenzuela was preventing the female from leaving the residence and threatening to physically hurt her if she left. While on scene, the female became uncooperative with officers and refused any further assistance. Valenzuela was arrested, transported to the police department for processing and later booked into Visalia Main Jail for the warrants.
