Wednesday, Jan. 9

At 3:10 p.m. in the 100 block of S. Ashland, officers responded regarding a check the welfare on three children due to possible health and safety activity. Catalino David Carranza was found to be a parolee at large. He was booked at the Porterville Sub-Station.

At 1:42 a.m. in the 200 block of S. Sweetbrier there were reports of subjects trespassing. Officers located a window which appeared to have been pried open. Officers located Jacqueline Casey sleeping inside. She was arrested for trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was laster medically cleared and then booked at Bob Wiley Detention Facility.

Thursday, Jan. 10

At 6:19 p.m. in the area of Tulare Road and Foothill, there was an anonymous call of a male subject following students from the school. Officers contacted the male subject, Jose Lopez, who was counseled and found to be highly intoxicated. Lopez was arrested and later lodged at the Porterville Sub-Station.

At 11:25 p.m. in 900 block of W. Mariposa, police responded to check the area for the suspects in the AM/PM burglary. Officers located several subjects in front of 900 block of W. Mariposa who ran from the scene. Manuel Mendoza, matched the description of one of the suspects from the above incident and was found to be in possession of a case of beer and an open case of beer. Mendoza was arrested, transported to AM/PM where he was positively identified by an employee. He was booked and lodged at the Porterville Sub-Station.
