Police search for suspect and vehicle in Strathmore liquor store robbery

STRATHMORE – Liquor stores and convenience stores in Strathmore seem to be a prime target for local armed robbers. In yet another example of violent activity in Strathmore, several suspects with hand guns robbed a liquor store in board daylight in Strathmore last week.

The robbery happened between 1:50 p.m. and 2:05 p.m. on Sept. 15 at Strathmore Liquor, located at 19534 Orange Belt Drive. Store clerks told police that at least three suspects armed with handguns entered the store and demanded money at gunpoint.

Fearing for their lives, the employees handed over an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. Luckily, as in the case of most of the armed robberies in Strathmore, no one was injured.

After committing the crime, the robbers escaped in a waiting vehicle.

The vehicle was only described as a gray or silver car and the none of the clerks were able to identify the suspects. If anyone has information regarding this case, contact Det.
