VISALIA – Getting into college or jumping into a career after high school is no easy task. It takes plenty of research and thought before putting pen to paper. Fortunately high school students do not have to go through the entire rigmarole alone. Instead next Friday, April 6, students are welcomed to attend the annual College and Career Expo.
Already 600 Tulare and Kings county high school students have registered. The expo will be held at both Visalia and Tulare College of the Sequoias campuses at 9 a.m.
The expo has been a Tulare-Kings regional event since 1992 and was held at COS for the majority of those years. A collaborative event between the COS Career Technical Education Programs, Tulare County Office of Education’s College and Career, Kings County Office of Education, and high school districts in Visalia and Tulare, the expo provides students with the opportunity to compete in both career technical and academic events, and to visit the COS campus for what may be the first time.
