Lindsay peeping Tom gets 120 days in jail, lifetime registration as sex offender

Jose Magana Ibarra was caught on video masturbating in the backyard while peering through a window

VISALIA – Last Friday, May 18, the Tulare County Superior Court made their final decision on the price a Lindsay man would pay for his lewd acts in a victim’s back yard.

Judge Antonio Reyes sentenced Jose Magana-Ibarra, 32, to 120 days in jail, three years of supervised probation and a lifetime registration as a sex offender. On Sept. 20, 2016, at 6:30 in the morning Magana-Ibarra jumped over the victim’s fence and began engaging in lewd acts with himself while looking in the windows of the victim’s home. This continued for several minutes. However, Magana-Ibarra did not know the home was equipped with video surveillance which recorded the entire incident.

Magana-Ibarra was convicted on Feb. 9 of this year for one count of indecent exposure and one count of lewd acts in public, both of which are misdemeanors. The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Aaron Corey of the Porterville Division and investigated by the Lindsay Police Department.
