Tulare County deputies assist in major meth bust


SACRAMENTO – Tulare County Sheriff’s deputies were part of an eight-month operation to take down seven major meth suppliers. On June 20, the FBI Sacramento office announced the arrest and indictment of seven suppliers during the operation, which netted 46 pounds of meth, $10,000 in cash, and five guns. The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney McGregor Scott, Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims, Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent in Charge Chris Nielsen, and FBI Special Agent in Charge Sean Ragan. Assisting in the investigation were the California Highway Patrol, U.S. Marshals Service, Fresno Police Department, Kings County Sheriff’s Office, Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and Homeland Security.
