Roger Lee Hepner, 38, raped a young girl at least four times from 2012 to 2017
STRATHMORE – A Strathmore man who raped a young girl will probably die in prison.
On Nov. 14, Tulare County Superior Court Judge Brett Alldredge sentenced Roger Lee Hepner, 38, to 48 years in prison for child molestation. Hepner will also be required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.
On Oct. 16, 2018, Hepner pleaded no contest to four counts of forcible sexual penetration of a child under the age of 14. Each count is a felony and considered a strike offense. The crimes occurred between Jan. 1, 2012, and Jan. 1, 2017, against a single, female victim.
The victim was between the ages of 9 and 13 at the time of the sexual assaults. The case was prosecuted by Deputy DA Chelsea Wayt of the Crimes against Children Division and investigated by Det. Sara Olmos of the Sheriff’s Office.
