@TheSunGazette

TULARE COUNTY – The Tulare County Coroners Office requested the friends or family members of unclaimed remains to come forward for weeks. Now, the more than 200 remains who nobody spoke for are being laid to rest at Tulare County Potters Field on Rd. 36 and Ave. 376 in Traver.

Starting today, Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 10 a.m. The public is invited to attend. The memorial will include burial rites and prayers from clergy. The last time the Tulare County Coroner’s Office held a mass burial of this type was in March of 2014.

The Tulare County Burial program provides funding for cremation of indigent or abandoned decedents in Tulare County. This program serves to remember those who died in Tulare County, that were homeless, poor, could not afford burial, were left abandoned or unclaimed or we were unable to locate relatives.
