STRATHMORE – Strathmore residents traveling north from town will have to get used to new stop signs on their route.
At its Feb. 26 meeting, the Tulare County Board of Supervisors voted to change the intersection of Meredith Drive and Avenue 204 (6th Avenue). A mile-long portion of Meredith Drive, which runs parallel to the Orange Belt Drive, was recently abandoned between Avenue 200 (7th Avenue) north to Avenue 204. This created a ‘T’-shaped, three-way intersection at Meredith and Avenue 204.
After a traffic study, the Supervisors voted to remove stop signs controlling east-west traffic on Avenue 204 and then add a stop sign for southbound traffic on Meredith.
