Update on the state of local government, business

Officials with Tulare County, Visalia to speak at annual luncheon on Thursday, Aug. 24, at Bello Vita Venue in Visalia

VISALIA – You have an opportunity to make your voice heard to Tulare County and city of Visalia leaders.

Officials representing the county and city will be involved in a public discussion at the annual State of Local Government Luncheon on Thursday, Aug. 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Bello Vita Venue, 4211 W. Goshen Ave. west of Visalia Country Club. The luncheon is hosted by the Visalia Chamber of Commerce.

Representing the Tulare County Board of Supervisors are Larry Micari (District 1) and Amy Shuklian (District 3) while Visalia leaders at the luncheon are Mayor Brian Poochigian (District 3) and Vice Mayor Brett Taylor (District 2). The officials will discuss business issues affecting Tulare County and Visalia, and also share accomplishments and a vision for the future.

The discussion will be moderated by Reggie Ellis, publisher of The Sun-Gazette.

Attendees have the opportunity to stay current on the latest city and county issues, connect with leaders and celebrate the community. Residents are encouraged to submit questions for government leaders by sending questions online to visaliachamber.org.
