CSET looks to take Tulare County’s senior residents “back in time” for 52nd annual Senior Day in the Park

TULARE COUNTY – Community Services Employment Training (CSET) is inviting all senior residents to experience a “blast into the past” at Mooney Grove Park in Visalia for the 52nd annual Senior Day in the Park.

The event is set for May 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. With this year’s theme being “Back to the Future: Bridging the Intergenerational Time Capsule,” attendees can look forward to a delightful journey through time as they participate in a variety of activities and entertainment, along with informational booths from local agencies.

For the event, fan-favorite Jeremy “Elvis” Pearce is back to perform by popular demand, and there will a plentiful of activities including a cake walk, bingo games with raffle prizes and much more. Seniors and their guests will also be treated to a lunch, as an opportunity to mingle, reminisce and create lasting memories.

Senior Day is a tradition that brings together hundreds of seniors from across the county, according to a CSET news release, and is not made possible with support from the community.

“Senior Day is made possible with the generous support of our community sponsors,” CSET stated in the press release. “We appreciate your contribution for making Senior Day the social event of the year for Tulare County seniors and their families.”

Local agencies also have the chance to be part of this special day by registering as exhibitors. With over 1,500 older adults and their family members expected to attend, exhibitor booths offer an opportunity to showcase programs and services to a larger audience.

To reserve a booth and be part of this dynamic event, visit www.cset.org/seniorday2024.  Exhibitor booth space is limited. It was noted in the release that there will be no on-site registration, and no refunds will be issued.

Senior Day in the Park is a collaborative effort between CSET, the Kings/Tulare Area Agency on Aging (KTAAA), and the Tulare County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA).
