Tulare County Libraries to offer free summer meals for kids, teens

Eight branches across Tulare County will provide free meals to children and teens from June to July

TULARE COUNTY — This summer, eight Tulare County Library branches will offer free meals to children and teens, ages 1 to 18, as part of the Summer Food Service Program. The initiative, supported by the California State Library and funded by the State of California, aims to ensure no child goes hungry during the summer months.

Here is where and when meals will be available:

Visalia:

Lunches will be served Tuesday through Friday, June 11 through July 26, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Visalia Branch located downtown at 200 W. Oak Avenue. For more information, call 559-713-2703.

Lindsay:

Lunches will be offered Tuesday through Friday, June 11 through July 26, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Lindsay Branch, 157 N. Mirage Street, Lindsay, CA 93247-2507. For inquiries, call 559-562-3021.

Strathmore:

Suppers will be available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, June 11 through July 24, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Strathmore Branch, 19646 Rd 230, Strathmore, CA 93267. Contact 559-568-1087 for details.

Pixley:

Suppers will be provided Tuesday through Friday, June 11 through July 26, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Pixley Branch, 927 S. Center St., B, Pixley, CA 93256. For questions, contact 559-757-1010.

Earlimart:

Suppers will be served Tuesday through Friday, June 11 through July 26, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Earlimart Branch, 780 E. Washington Ave, Earlimart, CA 93219. Call 661-849-2525 for more information.

Alpaugh:

Suppers will be available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, June 11 through July 24, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Alpaugh Branch, 3816 Ave 54, Alpaugh, CA 93201. Contact 559-949-8355 for details.

Dinuba (subject to reopening):

Lunches will be offered Tuesday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dinuba Branch, 150 S. I Street, Dinuba, CA 93618.
