TCSO searches for at-risk Goshen man

Sheriff’s office asks for help in searching for at-risk resident Marcelino Flores of Goshen

TULARE COUNTY – Deputies with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) are currently on the search for an at-risk resident from Goshen who recently went missing.

According to an update from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, Marcelino Flores has been found and reunited with his family as of Jan. 5.

According to reports, TCSO has been on the search for Marcelino Flores, 74, since Jan. 4. He was last seen at 1:30 p.m. at his home on the 6800 block of Harvest Avenue. At that time, he was wearing an orange/brown flannel shirt, red shoes and a black hat. 

Marcelino is 5-foot-6, weighs 130 pounds and has gray hair and a mustache. He is at risk because he suffers from dementia.

On the night of Dec. 31, TCSO TAGNET detectives were out in full force across Tulare County for a New Year’s Eve enforcement. 

The detectives arrested eight suspects and seized nine firearms, including two AK-47 style assault rifles, during traffic stops and responding to shots fired. Several of the subjects who were arrested, were observed negligently shooting into the air with a firearm.

On Thursday, TCSO Deputies were called to the 500 block of South Conner Street in Porterville for a family dispute.

During their investigation, deputies found a white Adidas backpack with one black 9mm Springfield gun, one black Ghost gun, ammunition, Meth, Xanax and Cocaine inside. Michael Gamboa, 23, and Gloria Valera, 19, were arrested and booked at the South County Detention Facility on drugs and gun charges.
