TCSO deputies tee off on golf cart theft case

Golf cart theft at Strathmore Middle School results in $18,000 worth of stolen goods, damage to school property

TULARE COUNTY – Deputies with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) have swung into action to solve the curious case of a stolen golf cart at Strathmore Middle School.

TCSO deputies were called to the school regarding the stolen cart on March 27 around 9 a.m. The reporting party said the suspect cut a section of fencing, causing $5,000 in damage and stole a golf cart valued at about $13,000.

March 26

On March 26 around 3 p.m., TCSO deputies were called to a home located on the 23500 block of Ave 194 in Strathmore regarding a house burglary, and a stolen utility trailer.

The victim told deputies the unknown suspect(s) entered their home and stole approximately $3,200 worth in property. The stolen trailer was a blue 1985 4×8 open utility trailer with wood side paneling.

March 25

Around 2:30 p.m., deputies were called to an Exeter home regarding a house burglary.

The victim told deputies the unknown suspect(s) entered their home and stole a large amount of cash and a Winchester model 1300 Pump Action Shotgun.
