Warrants served in connection to Pixley homicide

Tulare County Sheriff’s Office arrest three for firearm charges during search warrants, seizes 12 firearms in part of an ongoing investigation into Pixley homicide

TULARE COUNTY – A coordinated effort by multiple law enforcement agencies led to significant arrests and the seizure of numerous illegal firearms in connection with a recent homicide investigation in Pixley.

This past June 19, Tulare County Sheriff’s Office detectives, with the help of the Tulare Police Department, Visalia Police Department, Porterville Police Department, Dinuba Police Department and the TARGET DOJ Taskforce served multiple search warrants in connection with the ongoing investigation of the homicide in Pixley that occurred three weeks ago.

Detectives found and seized 12 firearms, including short barreled rifles and full auto switches, along with multiple high-capacity magazines and body armor during the searches.

Gang members, Narayan Singh, 22, Wilmer Mercado, 24, and Jose Ayon, 25, were arrested in connection with the firearms seized. They were later transported and booked at the Adult Pre-trial Jail Facility.⁣

June 21

Tulare County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the area of Road 136 and County Line for a report of a stolen tractor and custom trailer with irrigation tubing.

TCSO Ag Crimes Detectives responded and identified Jose Hernandez, 46, as the suspect responsible for the theft. Hernandez was arrested for Grand Theft of Agricultural Equipment, as well as an active arrest warrant. The tractor and trailer with the irrigation tubing, were returned to the victim.⁣

June 14

Over the last two months, the Tulare County Tactical-High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area unit and Tulare County Agencies Regional Gun Violence Enforcement Taskforce have been investigating a group of individuals in Tulare suspected of illegal drug sales and gun possession.

As a result of that investigation, on June 14, with help from the California DOJ, Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, ATF, DEA, Visalia PD, Porterville PD, Tulare PD and Kings County Sheriff’s Office, multiple search warrants were served in Tulare and Goshen.

During those warrants, two shotguns, four rifles, five handguns, approximately 150 lbs of liquid codeine, about 200 lbs of marijuana and concentrated cannabis, psilocybin mushrooms, ecstasy, a hash oil lab, a large amount of ammunition and a large amount of cash were confiscated.

Thomas Alexander Browning, 25, of Goshen, Dominque Davone Eldridge, 32, of Tulare, Alisa Rachel Lewis, 31, of Tulare, and Marquis Loring, 30, of Tulare, were arrested and face charges of possession of an assault weapon, being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition, possession of a controlled substance for sales, possession of marijuana for sales, operating a hash oil lab, operating a drug house, child endangerment and conspiracy to commit a crime.
