Graveside services were held on Oct. 28 for Gusse E. Adam, of Lindsay. He passed away in Lindsay on Oct. 23 at the age of 103.
He was born in Kansas on Feb. 11, 1900. He came to Lindsay with his family at the age of six. He attended schools in Lindsay and married Fredia Smee in Lindsay in 1925; she passed away in 1944. He was a charter member, in 1918, of the Nazarene Church of Lindsay. He worked for Lindsay Ripe Olive for 30 years as well as farming for many years in the Lindsay area. He actively supported and was active in the Nazarene Church as well as the Nazarene District.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Adam of Lindsay and Chester Adam of Oakhurst; one sister, Dorothy May Adam of Lindsay; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-great-grandchildren.
